Premature Praise?

Detroit News: Michigan back in top 25, gaining respect

Michigan moves to #20 and D Rob is in the Heisman race.

This type of early praise worries me and only makes it worse if and when Michigan slips. I want nothing more than Michigan to keep moving up in the polls and for another Michigan man to win a Heisman, but reality will set in when Michigan gets into the grind of Big Ten play.

Until then I hope Denard continues to be able to improve his throwing numbers and not using his feet as much. Would hate to see him go down to injury playing Mass or Bowling Green, with Big Ten play looming.

Michigan Ranked 24th in Preseason Coaches Poll

U-M (The #6 ESPN most hated team) is the final Big Ten Conference team in the top-25 rankings, trailing No. 3 Ohio State, No. 12 Wisconsin, No. 19 Illinois and No. 22 Penn State. The Big Ten tied the Southeastern Conference and Big 12 for the most representatives in the top-25 poll.

Beating the Utes (not a gimme by any means) in the season opener would go a long way in keeping the gift ranking that the coaches bestowed upon Michigan this season.
